    I wanted to get a less expensive red wine kit for my brother in law for christmas. He is a red wine drinker and likes to drink for his house wine carlo rossi paisano. Has anyone tried any of those really cheap wine kits ($45-$60) and had any decent results. We have a $50 limit on gifts. Thanks

    Mlf process

    Good Afternoon, I have a 6 gal bucket of Ca. Chardonnay and it is in primary fermentation. I was thinking about also doing a mlf fermentation on it. Could someone provide an outline of the process or point me in the right direction to find that instruction on the forum. Thanks in advance.

    MLF Temperature

    I am making the midwest frozen sangiacomo chard and it has an MLF process. My question is how important is the 75 degree temp. they are recommending for MLF. My wine cellar stays around 65 degrees. If I bring the wine upstairs my house is around 69 degrees. Will MLF work at my cellar temps?

    K-META Adding to carboy

    I am getting ready to rack a 5 Gallon batch of amarone and wanted to treat with k-meta. This batch was made from juice and I was wondering if I can just add 1/4 teaspoon to the empty carboy before transferring the wine into it or do I need to dissolve in water first then add?
