How many hydrometers should one own? Well I have a pile of them but only one each of the close reading Brix hydrometers. No, I did not drop it. I had it in the hydrometer jar under the faucet rinsing it off when the hydrometer popped up into the faucet spout and I pulled it away not knowing it went into it. SNAP! Dang it!!!

Awwww! Doh!

:)

Note to self: Buy 2, when you buy your close-reading hydrometers.

2nd note to self "don't hold so close to faucet when rinsing" lol

Yeah, they're not cheap.. That's why I havent got there yet

That cracks me up !! We all have been there - some more than others. Luckily for me theres a Brew shop locally - LOL

I can't count how many I have broken over the years. If do figure that I bust 3 or 4 per year. I hear that they had one made out of metal (copper). I have searched for one, but was unable to find it.
