You know I've read about it, read the warnings, but you never really know until it happens to you.

First time using my 27 liter XL Fermonster as primary vessel for a 23 liter (plus 2+ liters of volume for the grape skins) Winexpert Selection Sangiovese kit wine, using BM4x4 which already seems to be foaming a lot. BM4x4 has high nutritional needs. Time to add 10 grams of Ferm O.

I SHOULD HAVE DILUTED IT IN WINE FIRST. I HAVE READ THE WARNINGS.

But I've gotten lazy because there's never been an incident in my normal 30 liter buckets, even when adding nutrients directly. I blame the funnel top. And my own hubris.

At least my bf was home in the other room and came when I called to help with the aftermath. I lost something like 500-700 ml. :( I will be diluting my nutrients properly from now on.

I must now pray to Bacchus to forgive my grievous sin of ALCOHOL ABUSE.

One bubble will bring forth millions.
Happens to me occasionally. Sometimes I just forget. Usually in a hurry. Patients is a virtue in all aspects of this hobby. I have to think three move ahead. :h
