18. Apparently I don't know how many calories are in wine, nor do I know how to say cheers in Gaelic.

I got the calorie count wrong too. I thought it would be over a 100. Must be a very small glass!

I also did not know that a wine that was Thomas Jeffersons' sold for beaucoup bucks and that Gewurtztraminer was good paired with spicy foods. I have had this wine and I remember it as being fruity and floral. I am not sure I would like that with spicy food.

I disagree with some of these questions. 2.5 lbs of grapes to make one gallon??? I dont think so!!! I got 13. As for the Champagne question I got that right as Ive done a lot of reading on that but also know that is only for very high priced Champagnes and that most cheaper bottles on the shelf are not these types or actually a blend of one of these listed and some other not listed as most Champagne is made from inferior wines due to the carbonation hiding many flaws and making a bad wine taste decent or even good.

Wade, I think were probably going thourgh the test too fast and you misread the question. It was how many pounds of grapes to make a 750 ml bottle of wine. I think 2.5 is about right which would translate to about 12.5 per gallon.

Yep it was for one BOTTLE

Try it. The fruity and floral qualities really pair well with spicy food. Something like a Thai green curry, or a hot Indian Biryani go very well with Gewurtz! Even a zesty spanish paella with hot Chorizo works.

You know, Dean, that makes perfrect sense. Ireally likehot and spicy foods and I remember when traveling in the Far East (when I used to work!) and having hot Thai or Chinese food, they would serve honey on little biscuitsas a way of getting rid of the burning sensation. It worked then so I will try it.

I got 15.

Waldo, did you miss all of them before or after taste-testing the product of your hobby/obsession?

It was way after Arden

Actually I got 18 of 20

18+ doesn't surprise me; I figured you had to have done better than you reported.
