I am going to bottle my Green apple thatcame as a kit from George and was curious as to how I am supposed to afix the labels to the bottles? The labels were the ones that George gives for free with the purchase of a kit. Lynn

Wet the bottle and stick the label to it. Use a sponge or foam paintbrush.

By chance is it the Green Apple Riesling??

Definitely Green Apple Riesling, Hi in the Pines!!! Have you tried it???

Hippie, As always thanks, I should have known but have never used this type of label. Have a good one!!

Hey, don't feel bad. I had never seen that type of label before. I finally decided to lick my finger to see if one side was sticky.... very technical.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

OK...So which side of your finger was sticky

I would imagine it is the side that went into the concentrate after trying to
get the cap off.

Seriously, if we are using plain paper for our labels, what is the best way to
fix them to the bottle? I used spray craft glue this time round but that may
be a little over the top. I don't want to have a bad time taking labels off
afterwards. Not that I'll have too much to do. I have a whole set of
Christmas wishes be expressed right now and they'll be fulfilled with
instructions to return the bottle sans label.

I use labels from www.worldlabels.com.

They peel and stick, and are pretty easy to come off.

You can cut them yourself and no hassle, really.

I never spray anything because it's too much work. My wines don't last that long anyhow.
