When to remove shelters

When should I remove the Vine-X shelters? Many of my vines are about a foot above them already, do they do anything for the vines after this point?

They will help the vine grow upright and offer protection from rodents such as rabbits and mice. Remove them by late August to allow them time to harden off before winter.
