What does Marzemino taste like? (Similiar to Barolo or Amarone?)

What does Marzemino taste like? MM has a new kit for this out.

Is it similar to Barolo or Amarone?

Wonderful, another red to put in the queue! I haven't had it, but here's the wikipedia article. Not much info actually. It refers to it's "light plummy taste" which makes me think it might not be like amarone or barolo. But I've never had it so I can't say for sure.

Yep, I saw the wiki article, I noticed it says it goes well with lamb, which I cook quite a bit of.

Edit: oops that wiki article doesn't say that but I read that somewhere.
