Volcanoes During De-Gassing and Clarifying...

I have read here on the Forum about different ideas that people use during de-gassing, clarifying, etc. if and when the volcano erupts from the carboy. I use this large plant tray (saucer)under the carboy to catch anything that might erupt.


This may not be a huge revelation to most of you but I wanted to share it with everyone since I had gotten so many good ideas from you.

This is very true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ive had 3 in total and each time I thought I had left out enough. Now I rack onto the k-meta which seems to do the trick.
