Tip For Elderberries

While I was a Mount Bethal,I ask how did they get all of their elderberries destemed. ( They use 90% wild berries.) The lady told me that she and her husband cut the whole berry heads and put them in a paper sack and freeze them for 3 days. Then while the berries are still frozen they just dust them off the stems. She said that they come off really easy.


Maybe this will help someone going for elderberries this summer.

Sounds too much like work. How much elderberry wine do they make or do you know how many pounds the freeze?

They make enough to sell. She said a couple thousand pounds. That is alot of elderberries.
