So, I bottled my port tonight. Put it those nice cobalt blue bottles (375ml) from George.
I corked all but 3 bottles.
A friend wanted a few bottles and asked for tasting corks. Well,
I pushed them in with some medium force. I thought, "ok, lets
see how it comes out?" I twisted, and the plastic top twisted
apart from the cork. So, I picked up the next and pushed up, like
with champagne...the cork split again from the cap. So I pulled
the corks out with a normal corker and gently pushed a tasting cork
about half way in. This one I can twist out. Am I not
suppose to set them all the down to the plastic cap? What am I
doing wrong?
Help!!
