Do you think a .50 micron filter would remove sorbate?

As far as I know, sorbate is a chemical that (most likely) bonds to the wine at the molecular level. It is not a particle.

Sorbate is fairly soluble in water. It is going to be dissolved in wine and can't be removed by filtration

As stated it can't be removed but I am curious why are you trying to remove it?

Julie,

I am not trying to remove it, was wondering if it would loose some of its power
