RJ Spagnols Question contents of Meritage kit

I just opened my RJS CellarClassic Meritage kit and had some questions come up. First of all I have two packages of oak chips and a 20cm spiral. The instructions say to add oak chips to the primary. Should I put the spiral in the primary as well or wait and put it in the carboy when I bulk age it?

Second question. The kit also had 2 packages of sorbate in it. I think this was probably an error in packaging. Other RJS kits I have done only had a single pack to be added with the sulphite before degassing. What do you think?

Add chips now. Add spiral after stabilizing and clearing and racking.
It's a good kit!

Thanks for the advise. Thats kind of what I was thinking but hadn't run into the situation before

It's a tasty kit. Will need to bottle that one soon too.
