It is that time of the year again. Time to prune back the 7 muscadine vines I have.

Checklist:

pruners
cold beer
radio - 60-70s mix station
temps in the 70s

I am ready to go

7 vines? Maybe a single large beer, but if you drink a beer per vine and it only takes an hour to prune, you might get sloshed. LOL

Sounds like fun. If you get done, come on up. You can help prune a few thousand vines in the 2 feet of snow on the ground in the -20 degree wind chill outside today! Myself, I am waiting another month to start and will still be in snow!

Hey Toddrod hope your radio is waterproof. Man we sure do need break from
all this rain. I have only 3 muscadines vines as of now. This year I will be planting 3 bunch grapes in Loranger and 1 bunch grape vine in Bayou Gauche.
If I can't handle the grapes i will be planting more muscadines.
Have you been to the winery in the Vacherie area? Growing any bunch grapes?
Vacherie sure has some good growing soil if you have the river dirt and not the gumbo mud. Stay dry now.

Pg55- the winery in Vacherie uses fruit concentrates to make their wines from.
