Just starting my first backyard vineyard and am waiting for my vines to come in should be here within the week....my question is after I plant them should I prune them right away or wait till next year...the vines are 2 year old bare root don't know if that makes a difference...thanks for the help

Agree with Tony, when we plant grapes we let them grow wild the first year, and then prune the next spring.

You want some vine balance even from planting on. If you can dig a hole big enough to keep all the roots you can let the whole thing grow this year and prune next spring. If however the roots are too big to keep them all you may need to prune them back some. If you do then you may need to trim the top back. As am example of one that needs the roots trimmed see the following pictures.
