I have some 1/2 gallon plastic bottles that contained strawberry daiquri mix at one time and I was wondering if plastic bottles are ok to use? Will the plastic change the taste of the wine?

you have to post in the beginners section, your not ready for general wine making post yet..

LAgreeneyes,
James is just joking with you, there are no such rules.
I've used plastic bottles for leftover "topping up" portions of the wine and I've never noticed any taste issues. As long as it is "food grade" I suspect you are fine.

Thank you very much for the reply. And yes they are food grade.

And as far as you James, I'll deal with you later on that matter. Lol

lol, just had to do it....stressbaby is right , if there food grade I would use them to store topping off material in the fridge, dont think i would use them for long term storage.
