Was just wondering if it is OK to bottle a mist kit to plaxtic screw top pop bottles. If so how long can the wine last in these bottles?

They will work OK if you can sanitize and get a good seal with them. You can also use 375 ml bottles with corks or even beer bottles with new crown caps. They just aren't as nice looking bringing out and sipping on while riding on the lawnmower or sitting poolside.

Once you get a cheap capper, the bottle caps are a lot cheaper than the corks anyways, so just use crown caps instead. Not sure if they make corks sized for them or not.

You need to use beer bottles that are desined for crown caps and not the twist off beer bottles and zi dont think you can cork a beer bottle as they are not heavy enough, they would most likely break trying to get the cork in or out.

Hi there

We have always us the plastic 500ml bottle for the mist wines. We use the twist off plastic caps. These bottles fit into our RV fridge alots easier. We normally make about 1 dozen in the plastic bottles and then the rest in regular bottles. We drank our last one in about October and have been starting to get ready for the summer now. after 8 months they were still very tasty
