So what ABV should I be expecting on this?

Right now, if my math is correct, I'm coming up with 13.8% - shouldn't it be higher?

Starting SG - 1.160
After fermentation - 1.042
After f-pack and clearing - 1.054

I'm getting 16%

1.16-1.042 = 0.118

0.118/.00736 = 16.03

You are adding sugar, but not decreasing the alcohol that's already been made. Its 16% because you go with how much sugars you have fermented.

No problem, I have brain farts a few times a day...

No biggie.....

Is that kit supposed to be that strong??? Wowie

I get about 15.5 % and then diluted with the f-pac which isnt much so we'll say about 15.25%.

Thank you Master. I'll buy that for a dollar. It was at least 16% before diluting with the F-pack. I didn't think it would dilute that much....... But 3/4ths of a percent isn't too bad....

Everyone has different ways of getting their abv and they are pretty but always vary. Makes me wonder if there really is a true equation!

I'm sure that there is a way to figure out the dilution properly, but I'll go with your math on that one. 15.25% sounds good to me.
