Great time in CA this past week. Spent a couple days in Napa Valley! Good time of year to visit.... Almost ready to harvest. Drank a lot of very good wine and took some interesting tours. Still stand that the best wine in the world is made with fresh grapes!

Nice time of year you are going! Getting close to harvest. Here are some suggestions...
Talk to your hotel about getting discount coupons for wine tasting. They have them.
Only make reservations if you want a wine tour... They all accept walk in.
Beringer is very big and the oldest.
They offer a wine train by reservations if you want to drink and not drive.
I like going to the more expensive ones for tasting... Life is too short to drink cheap wine!
