So we're getting ready to move at the end of this month. I'm excited because the place has a great spare room that the wife and I are going to split wine room/ sewing room. Even has the biggest walk in closet I've ever seen for storing the carboys.
But here's the catch. I have about 60 gallons of various wines in carboys. Is there a safe way to move these? The new place is very close, about 8 miles or so away. I'm thinking of moving everything else first and then taking them in the car in seats with the seatbelt fastened on each- 3 per trip. All are currently airlocked, but finished fermenting enough that I could probably stopper them.
How would you do it? For those who have done it before, what did you learn that might be helpful?
Thanks everybody.
