ML bacteria

I have a 6 gallon carboy of wine that I have racked twice I want to add some ML bacteria to it tomorrow but I have some sediment on the bottom of the carboy I'd like to rack it but don't want to because the potassium metabisulfite would affect the fermentation of the ML bacteria do you think I should rack it to another carboy or just add to the current carboy it's in. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks
