I'm a noobie wine maker. But, malolactic fermentation is a process by which a bacteria introduced into the wine converts malic acid into lactic acid. You can do it at home. But, you will need to add the bacteria, maintain a healthy wine temp, stir every few days, wait.... and test to see if the process is completed.
Mantas, Welcome to the forum. More Wine, google them, has some great tutorials on MLF 's . I've read them a few times. They also have a 76 page pfd on Red Wine Making, which included MLF chapters. Roy
