I’m going to start my Island Mist Green Apple Riesling kit this weekend. I would like to up the ABV to around 11%. The starting original gravity is going to be between 1.048 and 1.052. So if I understand what I have read on the forum. I will need to add 4 lbs of sugar to make the starting OG at 1.080. Which will make the ABV about 11%. Do I use the water that I add to fermenter to dissolve the sugar first? Then add it to the 23 liter mark. I’m I missing anything?
