Is star san safe for wine

I was told from my beer/wine place to use star San. There not to up on the wine knowledge but I have been using it to sterilize my equipment. It does come in contact with the wine. Am I ok?

I only use Star San and have never had a problem. I usually mix a fresh batch to sanitize bottles and bottling equipment.

I use it and love it. U can literally drink star san mixed with water and not taste it. Ive tried!
