How many plants

I am going to start a small backyard vineyard with Pinot Noir, Gewurztraminer, &Cabernet Sauvignon. How many plants are neededto make 5 gal of wine a year from each type of grape. Thanks Tomy Edited by: Tomy

You will need 2 vines per gallon for all those vinifera varieties. You could get a bit higher or lower yield depending on you location. Is your location suited for all those varieties. Check with any vineyards near your home and see what they can ripen sucessfully and what survives the winters.
