Homemade f-pack

Ive been trying to search through the forums on how to make my own f-pack. Im making a rhubarb wine, i want to backsweeten with a stawberry simple syrup, so, can i just make a simple syrup, i have an omega cold press juicer i ise for my wheatgrass. Can i just juice some strawberries and add to my simple syrup to give my rhubarb wine the strawberry flavor? Or do i need to add any chemicals to it?
