Are these wild elderberries or some that you have planted and udo as Wade has suggested I did but I am still waiting for it to age a little before drinking it

You are very lucky for that elderberry option. It makes such an awesome wine and when you get them be sure to ask for Julie's Elderberry Blush recipe to make seconds out of the used fruit. It reallly is that good!

Sometime in August depending on what the weather is. It takes about 20 pounds of fruit to make a good eldlerberry to start with, thats about 4 gallons of fruit. We are barely an hour from Reston so you could do this all in a day easy. Crackedcork
