Frost Warning last night

Frosty here last night. Local vineyard hired Helicopters to protect their vines. I'm only a couple of miles away from them and really did not see much damage.

Mike these wind machines are used in several vineyards around here. At about $25,000 each not too many folks can afford them. They protect about 7 acres each. On the other hand if you have an area prone to frosts and if your making over $4000 an acre, it could pay for itself in one season. This was taken down the road from the winery and they have about 10 of them in this vineyard..

I saw those up in Canada. They are growing some really nice cab and cab franc up there

I just put the wife and a couple of her friends out in the vineyard, works just as good (but probably costs me twice as much)!

I was really surprised not to see a few more post yesterday on that. I know a few members on here live in TN. Our vines have been out since beginning March. Guess they where like me and just felt to bad to talk about it.
