About 4 months ago I made 1 Gallon kits of Master Vintner Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio, 1 of each. My intention was to blend the two and I wanted to figure out the right ratio before committing to larger kits. The wines blended nicely but nothing that encouraged me to make more. Until...I added the remnant of an apple wine I made from Old Orchard concentrate.
Based on a sample I tried last night, this has potential to be quite good. It is off-dry with a subtle and intriguing apple flavor. So glad I took notes! Looking forward to seeing how this blend matures.
Now I need to think of a name for it...
