Well, for those who do not know about the 'Valley or Tule Fog"
here's what happens. It was totally clear 30 minutes ago.

Tule Fog coming in

20110128_115542_IMG_0517.JPG

We are on a hilltop about 1100 elevation.

20110128_115610_IMG_0520.JPG

and coming

And now we cannot see the barn/winery from the house and it is only 100 feet away.

Everything on the valley floor is zero visability at this time. This all happened at our place within 20 minutes.

Now you can see why there are major accidents involving 50-100+ cars in the San Jouquin Valley in California. The valley goes from below Bakersfield to way above Sacramento. Hopefully, it clears by this afternoon as we have to go to Visalia today.

Now you know the rest of the story!!!

you can't see it from here but when i get done there will be
about 100 grapevines (about 600 feet or so) coming up the
lane. I'll post pictures when they leaf out - merlot - syrah - cab s.

Probably get down to 38-42 tonight and 60 during day.

Bart go stand in the corner- you need a time out. California is one of the gems of this great country as is Texas. Things are different in both, but equally great.

Rick, keep putting up the pics of your place.
Looks like a magnificent view.

Besides, it's theonly green the rest of us will see for a while. LOL

Rick, that is an awesome view and landscape you have. Love the pics and need to see some green right now. I dont think Ill be seeing any green for a long long time here. I have just over 4' of snow in my yard right now with maybe another 4" today and probably another 1' Tuesday into Wednesday! Never had snow like this over here in these numbers and its wreaking havoc all over the place.
