Hi, I planted 11 dormant merlot vines on July 12th, but fear I may not have done something correctly because they are not budding in unison. I let them sit for 3 days in the plastic bag in shade outside before planting to let them acclimate. In reading info on the web, I see that I may have forgone the step where I should have soaked the roots for 24 hours before planting.
Only 2 of the vines are showing any green budding. One is going buck wild and already has like 10 leaves on it, one only has 2 tiny leaves and the rest are completely the same as when I planted them. They are on a drip irrigation system in grow tubes getting .5 gallons twice a day. Is this normal or did I screw something up?
