Dark or light

I have to keep my carboy in my bedroom. It is not real bright in there but there is 10 hours of mild light.

Does fermenting wine NEED to be in the dark? I can stick a sweater or hoody over it if I need to, although I'm afraid the temp will get too high.

Got a batch of grape that was pitched 2 days ago and is bubbling like mad.

dark is best, but i figure your way is just fine, the biggest deal is once bottled or bulk ageing dark is way better, just my 2 cents,,,

I'd just keep it out of direct sunlight.
