I couldn't wait any longer. I just had to try it. Cleaning out mother's house to relocate her to assisted living I found one bottle of wine my father made somewhere between 1978 and 1982. I have no idea what grapes he might have used. It is very sweet, (and my wife and I prefer dry), but drinkable. Wine and beer making is just one of the things he did at home or in his workshop if he thought it might be fun and interesting. He put most of his wine in coke bottles with regular bottle caps. Thanks Dad.

That is how I got started making wine. I found my grandpa's stash in the basement that he forgot about too! The first bottle I grabbed tasted like a fantastic Sherry and I though - I actually like this stuff! I should try making it too!
