What better way to enjoy a holiday weekend than with a crab boil. I guess the only thing that could beat it would be a crawfish boil.

We boiled up a bushel of crabs and around 10 pounds of jumbo shrimp yesterday.

I didn't post this in the food/Wine forum as we didn't drink any wine with the crabs. We had a few ice cold brewski's. A chilled Gewürztraminer goes very well with boiled crabs though. Here are a few complimentary pics.

Looks mighty good smurf.......Iam headed to Malvern (Mother In laws) here in a bit and I am doing a shrimp boil for us today. Will be serving Muscadine, Blueberry and Arkansas Black Apple wines with our boil.

Hey smurfe,

Thanks, you just gave me an idea for dinner only on a much smaller scale, for me and Curtis. Lain and her friends are in Oklahoma this weekend so it's very quiet around here.

Hey Smurfe,
Just saw this post. We did a shrimp boil yesterday and I tell ya what. A red muscadide wine was hard to beat with this. Looks like you did a great job.
