Here are two of the kits that I have on the go.

On the right:

IM Kiwi Pear, started stabilizing and clearing on April 7

On the left:

IM LE Australian Verdelho, started stabilizing and clearing on April 4

Why the big difference? I am wondering if it will be ok to rack for polishing tommorrow?

Thanks
Grant

This year's weather has played havoc with clearing and fermentations. I would suggest you wait to filter. If you have a packet of SuperKleer, use it first. it will delay filtering for about 1 week, but it will be well worth the wait.

I found it interesting that you posted this topic today as I was discussing this problem with LD Carlson about 2 hours ago! LD is the Winexpert distributor for most of the U.S.

Hi George

I have to say that I do not filter my wine. I have had no problems with sediment. Instructions say that after 8 days you rack it and then leave it 14 day before bottling. Do you think it is ok to rack?

I'm sorry. I mis-read the question. Racking now would be a good thing to do, but if it is not clear in 2 weeks, I would add the SuperKlee.

Imeeko, the Im will have a lot less solids in it as it is a mist kit
compared to a LE kit. The Island Mist is 7.5 liters of juice
while the LE kit is probably 16 liters of juice which contains alot
more solids. They look great.
