When you guys are testing and blending to come up with the perfect flavor profile, do you use anything thing to clean your palette in between tastings? Thanks!

in our amateur competitions we use crusty bread. in our tasting room we used oyster crackers. sometimes it is best to take more than one taste of the wine before judging it , the wine will cleanse palette from previous wine. but crackers or bread are the best.

Those boxed Italian Bread sticks work pretty well also. Just make sure to get the plain (unflavored) ones.

As Salcoco mentioned, Most wineries near us serve the oyster crackers between wines.

I can't do bread, so Its the extra swollow of wine for me! :) I ussually swish with the new wine once before "tasting" the new wine. It does not take much, but it does help.
