I used it to alter an already existing coal room in our basement. The home was built in the 1920's and used to have coal shoveled in through a chute. When my bride and I bought it, I white washed the walls and put in some insulation along with a heater...Wisconsin winters can be brutal, and the rest of the basement was not finished. Worked out wonderfull.
