I've read several threads discussing the inclusion of bananas in the primary to add body, but am still not sure about the best way to use them. I've seen everything from using peels only right into the primary bucket to boiling the bananas to make a slurry. What's the best method? Talk amongst yourselves... ;)

i would say the vast majority of refrences to using bannas recommend boiling for 30 min with at least some of the peels.

I freeze the bananas and when I want to use one, I slice it up, including skin and plop it into the primary

I just slice into the primary with the rest of the fruit

Oh, forgot to mention: would your method differ if you were using it to modify a kit, vs a "from scratch" wine? Thanks!
