First let me say I got a bit lazy.. I left one of my primary buckets outside in the rain for a while now.. leafs were floating in there with rain water as well as a cigar ashes from my friend. My other ones I leave in the basement. Over the weekend my plumber decided to use one as a trash can. Some chemicals were in there from his trash. Can I save these? If so what can I use to clean them thoroughly?

I would recommend NOT using these for future wine making. The plastic is porous and may have absorbed some of the chemicals and you may not be able to remove all of the chemicals. Bottom line is it is not worth the risk for $25.00.

Take $25 off his bill and give George a call

Do not trash these buckets empty them and leave them where they are as a reminder!!!!!

Wash them out good and use them for storage of something, etc...lessons learned are hard sometimes.
