Grab some Carlos Rossi 1 gallon chianti or burgundy..... Its ok and you get a 1 gallon fermenter when you are done.... Under $10 and you get 5 bottles worth of wine

might also try Tisdell (sp?) cab sauv very good and I think it's $3-4.00/bottle, has a tree on the label and a bottom shelf wine

"Hey Bert! What was the name of that cheap red wine we had a while back?"
"Double Dog Dare, $3 on sale for a 750 bottle."</font>

The Crane Lake wines are not too bad. Around $5. Bohemian Highway Cab is pretty good at about $6. I recently tried a Matthew Fox white (I think Chardonnay) and for $4.50 was really pretty descent. Have not tried the reds yet.
