3-piece airlock, slowly leaking, any ideas?

On one of my airlocks, its slowly leaking k-meta solution, every week or so, its lost half its liquid and I have to fill it back up to the line.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Any ideas?

Will this affect the wine?

Abe for the .99 it costs, replace it with an s air lock and see if you have the same issue.

I would check the air lock closely for cracks. As Dan said, they are cheap, so replace it.

Could be, it depends on if its going in the wine and how often youve been adding this (refilling) Is this a 6 gallon batch? If 1 gallon then by all means you could have a very high S02 level from this now.

Another thought is how dry is your house? it could be evaporating. I have a 55 gallon fish tank that drops 1" or more a week in the winter.
If you think its leaking, replace it, its cheaper than tossing a batch of wine.
