    Bulk aging carboy bung came off. Time frame IDK

    Went down stairs tonight and notice that one of my red wine bulk aging carboys with a bung popped out. I don't know how long it has been out. It's been bulk aging since April. What's the chance of this wine is now ruined? jhawk

    Cork storage

    I plan on buying a bag of 1000 corks. I will be using 500 in the next week or so. Plan on the other 500 in April. What is the proper way to store them.

    B Brite questions

    Why does it say you have to use cold water to rinse? Would it hurt to use hot water? I think hot water would be better. Also after soaking a couple dozen bottles in the sink to remove the labels and sanitize them. Could I reuse the B Brite soloution for another set of bottles?

    I'm in the process of making a wine making room. I have a basement window 16x32 that will be located in this room. Should I cover this window, so there won't be any light in there.     Potassium Metabisulfite /Potassium Sorbate How much?

    Bottles with mold

    I received a case of empty bottles from a buddy and in the bottom of the bottles is mold. What would be the proper way to clean these bottles. I want to make sure all the remnants of the mold are gone. Any suggestions.? jhawk
