Winter Picture Thread

I'm one of those crazy people who likes a good cold winter. Snow? Yes, please! I really enjoy snowboarding at this time of year. Last winter, with it's disgustingly warm temps, was a pathetic excuse for a winter season in the northern US. This year shows some hope for us winter wolves!

On Saturday morning (Dec 29th), I made my giddy way home---literally over the river and through the woods---to my house and a pristine winter landscape. The dogs loved it too, if you can't tell.

Here are a few for you taken a few days ago and the one with the grill today. It has been snowing every day for a few days and even though it keeps settling, it just comes back as fresh snow.

Sequence of Snow

I thought I would show you sort of a slow motion time lapse of snow on a handrail coming off the back deck of the house. In the first one you can see the snow starting to lean off the edge of the rail. The next one shows it really turning and the last one shows that there is a curl to it. Upside down snow. I have seen many weird formations of snow before. Post up yours here if you have any.
