When to put bottles on their side?

I have been reading different opinions on how long people leave their bottles upright before storing in their side. How long do you all usually leave them upright?

3 days upright for me and then on their sides they go...

The rule is two 2-3 days upright then you can lay them down. Corks have changed over the years for the better. Many times you see bottles not even layed down. I lay my bottles down when ever I get to it. Sometimes within hours, other times not for weeks or months if I don't have room on the racks.

When to put bottles on their side? Let's see now..... hhmmmmmm. I used to find them on their sides about the time they were empty. Usually that was when there were 2 or 3 of them at a time.
