when to add more kmeta

When do you add more k meta? I have read to do at the 1st racking and I have also read to do it at the 2nd racking. I assume the 1st racking would be into the secondary from the primary. I am not asking if you do both but which one to do.

Do NOT add k-meta upon transferring into "secondary." (I do not think this is what they had in mind by "first racking.)

adding k-meta

I use the general rule of every other racking. If k-meta was added to the primary, skip adding when racking to the secondary for the first time. Otherwise, if no k-meta was added to the primary, then add k-meta to the secondary at the first racking. Then add k-meta at every other rack.

Else wise test for SO2 and add enough k-meta to maintain 50 ppm.
