I'VE HAD MY STRAWBERRY -KIWI WINE IN MY SECONDARY FERMENTOR FOR ALMOST 3 WEEKS NOW. I'M A BIT CONCERNED ABOUT THE SEDIMENT BUILD UP ON BOTTOM (ABOUT 2 INCHES EYEBALLNG IT) COULD THIS SPOIL THE TASTE OF THE WINE? WOULD IT HURT TO DO A RACKING EVEN THOUGH THE FERMENTATION ISN'T COMPLETE YET ?

I thought that i just read somewhere on this site that stwawberry wine had an enormous amount of sediment.

What are you going to use yo clarify or are you just going to let time
do its thing. Checking the SG will not hurt your wine unless you dont
sanitize your hydrometer. If its still pretty high I recommend racking,
if its very close to being done Id wait it out!

Wine made with fresh strawberries can throw a lot of sediment. However, wine made from kits, like strawberry-kiwi mist kits, will throw about 2" of sediment.

If this is a kit wine, just follow the instructions and you will be fine. If this a country wine of your own, then it's probably time to rack it.
