Though semi sweet should be an answer for the last question

your last question is incomplete. there are semi sweet and semi dry wines as well/ although not commonly used "balanced" is a more proper term. this is when the wine has the proper balance between sugar, acid, alcohol and tannins.,no one item is predominate. in sweet wine the sugar dominates, in dry wines the tannin dominates.

Thank you everyone. I fixed the last question. unfortunately I can only drink on the weekend but I do sneak some wine tastings of my own wines through out the week.
