Can I leave the elderberries on the stalks if I'm extracting the juice by using a steam juice extractor ? Anything that saves me from that labourious job is a winner with me. :D Cheers, Tony.

I wouldn't think you would want the juice from the stem in your elderberry juice

I'm steaming elderberries as I'm writing this. Leaving the stems on. Did it last year this way and had no harmful effects. The wine was probably one of the best I have ever made.

Your my hero Bruno. that's just what I wanted to hear. But I'm glad I've seen the cake tray idea. Cheers, Tony.

can steamed elderberry juice be stored in bags without freezing. i remove all but the very small stems.

I would think that it may go mouldy if not used right away, best to freeze if not required soon.

Cheers, Tony.
