Took the steam juicer out of storage and cleaned the mason jars. I am steaming 18#'s of cranberries this morning. 6#'s seem to fit just fine into the basket. This time I used 2 cups of sugar to sweeten the juice. Need to get the jars sterilized. Juice will be flowing in the next 50 minutes.
 
18#'s yielded 8 quarts more than enough to make a 6 gallon batch in the future. I decided to use the last batch of pulp and steam some carlos muscadines over it to infuse a muscadine cranberry juice. I hope to get 3-4 quarts of it and will try a 2-3 gallon batch of wine out of that juice.
 
Final tally of 8 quarts Cranberry
3 quarts Cran Muscadine (muscadine steamed over the cranberry pulp)

Look forward to making more wine in the future with these batches of juice.

That Cranberry/Muscadine sounds interesting...how does the must taste?
 
When I mix it I will let you know Waldo....................

I just juiced them today, no tasting yet. I've got to bottle a few batches before I can make another.
