I am in the market for some oak,,,, figured I got a good batch of zinfandel going and I plan to make it age bulk for some time, as I am hitting up the shopping here, I wondered, is there a difference between the cubes, chips and spirals ?

And just so you know, I am aware I can check out anytime I want but can never leave

so I just wanted to give my friends here my link to what I have been up to while the wine is aging.

Don't expect to hear " radio " style music here, then again. I never listen to the radio..

Take care !

I prefer the spirals myself zem. They give you more contact with the wine and I believe a more intense oakiness than the chips or cubes.

Waldo, Thanks. Plus I figure those sprials are a lot easier in clean up then chips, so I am gonna try the spirals. Thank you
