Time to dust off that bread machine.

ENJOY THIS HARDY BREAD WITH SOUP, SALAD OR AS AN APPETIZER WITH CRAB DIP.

ADD INGREDIENTS IN ORDER LISTED:

1 CUP WATER
2 TBS VEGETABLE OIL
2 TBS DARK MOLASSES
2 TBS VINEGAR
3/4 tsp SUGAR
3/4 tsp SALT
2 TBS UNSWEETENED COCOA
2 tsp MINCED DRIED ONION
1 tsp INSTANT COFFEE GRANULES
2 tsp CARAWAY SEEDS
2 tsp FENNEL SEEDS
2 CUPS BREAD FLOUR
1/2 CUP WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR
1/2 CUP RYE FLOUR
1 tsp WHEAT GLUTEN [OPTIONAL]
2 tsp BREAD MACHINE FLOUR

SET ON WHOLE WHEAT CYCLE...LIGHT CRUST...1 1/2# LOAF

Very unusual ingredients. Is the Caraway and Fennel a predominant flavor? Sounds like it would make a good Reuben.

You can for sure taste the fennel and caraway, and a hint of th onion...the cocoa and coffee are just for the color...it is such a good bread when still warm...going to bring some to Holiday gathering...made some tonight with soup...vrey good!!!It would make an excellent Reuben sandwich...
 
Sorry, I couldn't tell you how long to bake in an oven, I only use a bread machine. But if you make other bread you could bake it for an average 1 1/2# loaf of whole wheat or rye.The bread machine bakes it for 55 minutes, but don't know the temp inside there.

It is an awesome rye bread.
